We were retained by ioVest Development LLC to produce a pre-construction sales brochure for Ara Macao Resort and Marina in Belize. The development will be comprised of 456 beach condominiums, 296 waterfront marina villas, a 260-room hotel, full-service marina, 18-hole golf course, retail centers, casino and nightclub, fitness center and spa, restaurants and lounges, multiple swimming pools and a rainforest nature preserve. Who would need more?
Our target audience consisted of individuals with disposable income, generally 45 years of age and older, who were looking for a second home or a diverse investment opportunity. Our goal was to develop a theme that would attract them to the benefits of ownership at Ara Macao.
We developed the “Welcome to Paradise…Welcome Home” theme, and used images and fonts to capture the look and feel of island paradise. Since the Resort is in Phase I of development, we did not have access to actual photography. We sourced photographs that would convey the lifestyle and visual setting that ownership would provide.
As this piece was a critical element to the sales process, we knew that we would have to touch on a variety of topics and give as much detail as possible. On our first page, we used two images and small amounts of copy to feature the Resort and all it has to offer. We also included a two-page spread consisting of a beachfront scene with small amounts of copy providing some background on Belize. The reader would want to know why they should choose Belize, so we revealed that the cost of living in Belize is a lot cheaper compared to the US. We also highlighted that Belize is a booming area and they are well known for their diving. Our goal was to encompass all the wonder and beauty that living there, or at least owning property there, has to offer.
The brochure is a large format, six-page brochure with copy and images located on all sides. We also used a die cut on the front to incorporate our “Welcome to Paradise…Welcome Home” theme with a creative twist.
We truly enjoyed working on this little piece of paradise, and look forward to working on more blissful Ara Macao projects in the future.
